Who Will Replace Angus, Blaney and Hughes?
Three NDP MP's have announced that they won't seek re-election in the next federal election, but who will replace them?
NDP MP's Charlie Angus, Carol Hughes and Rachel Blaney have all announced that they will not run in the next federal election.
Angus has represented the riding of Timmins—James Bay since 2004, Blaney has represented North Island—Powell River since 2015 and Hughes has represented Algoma—Manitoulin—Kapuskasing since 2019.
The NDP is currently holding a leadership race to replace Jagmeet Singh, who announced in October that he would be stepping down as leader.
The new leader will be responsible for leading the party into the next federal election.
